A JAPANESE WAKIZASHI,
probably early 18th century, with 18 1/4in. curved and re-polished blade (some staining), folded copper 'habaki', pierced circular iron 'tsuba', the tang pierced with two 'mekugi-ana', leather wrapped rayskin hilt with 'menuki' and other furniture pieces together with a plain black lacquered scabbard (small losses) and pocket for 'kozuka' (included, blade replaced with brass dummy)
