the first from the Yemen, with curved 8in. double edged blade, strong central rib, gilt koftgari border at hilt, horn grip decorated with white metal pins and sheet white metal covered reverse with decorative bands and rivets, complete with its white metal scabbard with pierced decoration and decorative bands, the second possibly Omani with fine gold koftgari decorated iron hilt and plain curved double edged 8in. blade (traces of possible watering), no scabbard
