TWO ANTIQUE PIHA-KAETTA KNIVES,
from Sri-Lanka, late 18th to early 19th century, the first with iron drop-point 6in. blade, roughly carved fuller to the back edge, carved and engraved yellow-metal mounts at guard integrating with scalloped white-metal mounts, carved ivory grip (small losses) and embossed and engraved yellow-metal pommel, the second with clip-point 9in. iron blade also with carved fuller, the central section of blade with white-metal koftgari scrolls, the first third of blade covered with a chisel engraved yellow-metal mount, carved horn grip with white-metal details and embossed copper pommel caps, both missing scabbards and with staining and pitting to blades
