A GOOD INDO-PERSIAN 'SNAKETONGUE' POLEARM HEAD,
mid 19th century, the head on a tapering iron socket decorated with silver koftgari designs (faded), reinforcing band at socket mouth, the flambeau twin pointed blades set off from the socket and chisel engraved at the base with floral designs and arabesques, the borders and central panels on both sides inlayed in yellow metal, 23 1/4in. overall and fitted to a later 41in. plain wood shaft
