LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, action and lockplates with border engraving, the undersides with 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR', blued lockplates and renewed finish to furniture, 14 1/8in. shortened figured stocks including 1/4in. horn buttplates, weight 5lb. 15oz., in their brass-cornered leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were completed on the 24th April 1920 for a 'Townshend' as a pair of 16-bore 'Royal Hammerless Ejector Guns.
