30in. nitro barrels, the rib gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end, the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, rounded-bar action with Purdey treble-grip, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the underside with 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR' within a floral garland, brushed and reblued finish overall, 15 5/8in. boldly-figured stock including 1 1/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 7lb. 4oz., in a brass-cornered oak and leather case with internal protector flap

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed on 22nd July 1901 for 'Guinard' for a Prince Wauilo. The records confirm that the gun was ordered with 'Special "Purdey" treble grips through extractors'.
