A 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 18993,
30in. nitro chopperlump barrels, rib inscription rubbed, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, toplever engraved '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, arrow cocking-indicators, articulated front trigger, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 7/8in. boldly-figured stock inset in gold with 'E J 1', weight 6lb. 15oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case, retaining original trade and charges label, the case outer marked 'E.S.L.J.'

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in 1908 for an S. Jogensen

The vendor has kindly informed us that the gun was originally made as No.1 of a pair for his Great Uncle Ernest Jorgenson and has subsequently been passed down through the the family, first from his Great Uncle to his Father and then from his Father to him.
