LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action, toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety, border engraving, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15 1/8in. well-figured replacement stock (slight sweep at comb) including 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, oval gold escutcheon engraved 'E.E.S. VE/45', fore-end chipped to front left edge, weight 6lb. 13oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
Provenance: The vendor has kindly informed us that this gun, together with the previous Lot, was owned as a pair by his grandfather. The No.1 gun was given as an 18th birthday present to the vendor's Uncle and subsequently the No.2 gun was given to the vendor's father, also as an 18th birthday present.
