28in. nitro replacement chopperlump barrels (by the makers in 1989), tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET, LONDON.', the under rib with 'MADE IN ENGLAND', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, right wall at 20-, treble-grip action with hidden third bite (bite removed), automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, hand-detachable lockplates, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, Holland & Holland experimental partially rotating toe cam, best bold Royal scroll engraving, the underside with an elaborate cartouche engraved 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR', bright and partially reblued finish overall, 14 3/4in. well-figured replacement stock (by the makers in 1959), weight 6lb. 7oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case with some accessories
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in November 1911 for a 'Boutt' with 30in. barrels. They confirm that the new 28in. barrels were fitted by them in 1989 and the new stock in 1959. A Weapon history certificate (dated 2017) from the makers is supplied with the gun, together with a photocopy of the original entry in their records
