28in. bold damascus barrels by Adams & Tait with Henry patent rifling, use number 2693 and an Alexr. Henry serial number 3766, file cut rib with a banner engraved 'STEPHEN GRANT. 67A. ST. JAMES'S STREET. LONDON.', open sights and single folding leaf sight with white metal inlaid sight lines leaf sight marked for 200 yds, bead fore-sight, Jones patent rotary-underlever, carved percussion fences, non-rebounding back-action locks signed 'STEPHEN GRANT' with bolted hammers, elongated top strap, action flats with Alexr. Henry serial number 3766 and Grant serial number 4042, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, the action bar engraved 'STEPHEN GRANT'S PATENT', retaining very slight traces of colour-hardening, 14in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, engraved steel pistolgrip-cap, sling eyes and chequered steel buttplate engraved '120 GRAINS NO.6 POWDER', fore-end with minor repairs, weight 6lb. 8oz.
