circa 1900, with round 24in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, London proofs, the solid frame marked 'MARLIN SAFETY' on the top and fitted with detachable sideplate (serial number erased), the top-tang with model designation, walnut butt-stock with replacement blued steel shotgun heel-plate, plain walnut fore-end and full length under-barrel magazine tube
