for 1884, with round 22in. blued barrel, ring and pillar folding fore-sight, elevating buckhorn rear-sight, the top of barrel signed 'WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN CT' and 'KING'S IMPROVEMENT' with patent dates to '1860', plain slab-sided receiver (action at fault) signed on the left hand side 'LONDON ARMOURY JAS. KERR & CO 118 QUEEN VICTORIA ST E.C.', sliding dust cover marked '50-95 EXPRESS', top-tang marked 'MODEL 1876' (drilled and filled for a factory tang-sight), walnut butt-stock with iron shotgun heel-plate, plain walnut fore-end with iron nose-cap, half length under barrel magazine, minimal traces of finish with some surface corrosion and areas of cleaning
