first quarter of the 19th century, with concave triangular cross-section 32in. blade retaining some original polish, polished pierced steel oval guard with applied cut-steel decoration (cracked across in antiquity) and red velvet scabbard buffer, straight cross-guard with small circular quillions with loose faceted cut steel balls within, cut steel pas-de-ane, fully faceted cut-steel grip-piece with applied decoration, en-suite urn pommel and cut-steel chain knuckle-bow, complete with its black leather scabbard with iron mounts
