R.G. LAWRIE, GLASGOW & EDINBURGH
A GOOD SCOTTISH DRESS DIRK TOGETHER WITH A SILVER-MOUNTED SKEIN-DUBH BY ANOTHER,
the first circa 1910, with typical 10 3/4in. single edged blade, false edged at the spear tip and with scallop back, the back face signed 'R.G. LAWRIE, GLASGOW & EDINBURGH' along the edge, short blind fuller near hilt, carved and moulded white-metal guard-mount featuring raised thistles, basketweave carved bog-oak hilt with cranked pommel mounted with a cherry red cairngorm in a white-metal crown mount, complete with its en-suite scabbard with vacant panel at locket, signed reverse, two further chased and moulded mounts for eating utensils and en-suite chape, the two utensils with en-suite hilts and orange cairngorm stone pommels (some damage to scabbard edges), the second hallmarked for Edinburgh 1907 with the maker mark 'W.D. & CO' and also of typical form with ball finial pommel, the celtic ribbon engraved throat monogrammed 'J.T.'
