circa 1800, with twist iron 27in. barrels signed on both barrels in gold-lined rectangular poincons at breech in raised letters 'D, CHARTER, BERWICK', fore-sight bead set back from muzzle, twin gold lines and gold lined touch-holes, hooked tang grooved for sighting, slightly curved flat locks with moulded bevel edged and stepped tails, signed forwards of the hammers 'BURNIE', rain-proof pans, roller-bearing to the frizzen-springs, (one hammer repaired and one top-jaw replaced), walnut half-stock (numerous old cracks and repairs around both locks, small losses to left hand edge of fore-end), chequered wrist, iron furniture (cleaned, loss to detail) and period wood ramrod
