new 28in. steel nitro barrels (post 1925) with rib engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER. 151 NEW BOND ST. LONDON. PATENT BREECH LOADING HAMMERLESS GUN EJECTOR.', and gold-inlaid '1', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke;
Lancaster patent assisted-opening action with dolls head top extension third bite, carved fences, toplever gold-inlaid '1', striker discs, automatic 'PATENT BLOCK SAFETY' with silver and blue 'SAFE' detail, dipped-edge lockplates, double triggers, Perkes patent ejector system, patent no. 10084 of 11th July 1888, use number 188, border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining virtually full renewed colour-hardened finish, the triggerguard tang gold-inlaid with the serial number, 15in. well-figured replacement stock with matching fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 4oz.
