ENGLAND.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, toplevers engraved '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, removable striker discs, cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguards, best bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining much original colour-hardening and some finish (No.1) and virtually full original colour-hardening and finish (No.2), 14 5/8in. well-figured stocks, weight 6lb. 7oz., in their lightweight leather motor case with accessories
Provenance: The vendor kindly informs us that the guns were ordered by him on 22nd November 1962 and were subsequently delivered in April 1965. He also informs us that despite gun No.2 remaining in unused condition, both guns were fully stripped, cleaned, shot and tested by the makers in November 2011 as supported by accompanying paperwork.
The makers have kindly informed us that they completed the pair December 1964 with 28in. barrels.
