LONDON.', and with acanthus scrollwork at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, scroll-back action, toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, rolled-edge triggerguard, fully engraved with border and fine acanthus scrollwork, the underside engraved 'HERCULES MODEL' and gold-inlaid 'XXV', retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15 1/4in. boldly-figured stock including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 6oz.
