27in. nitro barrels with raised matt top-rib and side-ribs, over barrel engraved 'WATSON BROS. 39, REDCROSS WAY, LONDON.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and imp. cyl choke, pierced hold-open toplever carved at the thumbpiece with a carp and gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, cocking-indicators, non-selective single trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, the fences carved in relief with clover leaves on a matted background, the action and furniture deeply carved with best bold scrolling acanthus and gold-inlaid with the makers name and serial number, the triggerguard with a covey of partridge, the left lockplate with a nye of pheasant in a woodland setting and signed 'CAPECE', the right lockplate with a covey of English partridge in flight, the underside with a peregrine falcon in the foreground with a castle in the background and gold-inlaid 'WATSON BROS. LONDON.', bright finish overall, 14 1/2in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with engraved steel pistolgrip-cap, fore-end iron engraved en-suite and with gold-washed ejector work, weight 6lb. 1oz., in an aluminium universal flight case
