circa 1880, with 3 1/2in. ovoid barrel, crescent fore-sight, engraved foliate band to the muzzle, scroll engraved near breech, grooved, border and scroll engraved top-strap signed 'J. LANG & SONS, COCKSPUR ST. LONDON', plain cylinder with border-lined front edge, panels of scroll engraving and ratchet notches to the rear, scroll and border-lined frame together with 'WEBLEY'S PATENT' and the 'winged bullet' logo, chequered walnut grips with scroll-engraved back-strap and butt-cap, scroll engraved trigger-guard, extractor rod concealed within cylinder arbor, the whole remaining in good condition with only minor flaking on grip-straps, TOGETHER WITH its original English market oak case lined with green baize, 'Joseph Lang' trade label to the lid and containing an oil bottle and two cleaning rods
