A 120-BORE PERCUSSION SIX-SHOT 'PEPPERBOX' REVOLVER WITH NICKEL FRAME, SIGNED 'RILEY',
circa 1830, with 3in. barrel group (good traces of original colour-hardening), Birmingham proofs, nickel frame with panels of scroll engraving signed 'RILEY, MAKER' on the left hand side, central hammer, chequered walnut grips, scroll engraved back-strap and grip cap, the latter also amateurly engraved with the initials 'J. H.' (some staining to iron parts, one grip-plate repaired in antiquity)
