circa 1840, with 30in. re-browned twist-steel barrels, the top-rib signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS' (rubbed), game-bird engraved at breech-end, border-lined slightly curved lock with small panels of scroll engraving, signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS', scroll engraved hammers, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, silver rectangular escutcheon behind top-tang, iron furniture, pineapple finial and ramrod-throat, original brass-ended ramrod, (furniture and locks brushed and lightly stained) TOGETHER WITH a period oak case, re-lined and with reproduction 'Westley Richards' trade label, complete with a number of period accessories including oil bottle, nipple-key combination tool and cap tin, brass ring-handle to lid engraved 'S.W.C.
