A JAPANESE WAKISASHI,
probably mid 19th century, with 20in. slightly curved blade, full length 'hi', visible 'hamon' , circular iron 'tsuba' (pitted) with traces of inlaid decoration and an applied iron stork, finely scaled 'same' with crescent-shaped 'menuki' and cotton binding (no 'saya', blade with slight edge damage especially at the 'kissaki' and mild patches of polished pitting)
