A SCARCE POWDER-HORN FOR THE DUKE OF NORTHUMBERLAND'S MILITIA,
early 19th Century, with an approximately 11in. cow-horn body, the brass nozzle un-marked, simple pull-out measure held with a sprung catch and a slightly domed brass end-cover engraved with the Duke of Northumberland's crest of a recumbant crescent surrounded by a garter, surmounted by a crown, the whole enclosed within an oval (light discolouration to metal parts)
