A RARE BRASS-CORNERED OAK AND LEATHER FULL-LENGTH PARK RIFLE CASE,
of 42 1/2in. overall internally and originally built to house a .360 rifle, serial no. 4318, the inside of the lid carrying a Stephen Grant trade label together with a separate contemporary label with hand-written loading notes, burgundy baize interior with numerous blocked compartments, handle partly detached and the cartouche inexpertly removed

Other Notes: The additional hand-written label on the inside of the case reads as follows:

"Charge for .360 Rifle No. 4318
1 5/8 drs C&H No.6 Powder with jute wadd and felt wadd over powder for conical bullett (sic), wrapper ow bullet, and for spherical bullet 5/8drs of No.6 Powder with one jute wadd and two felt wadds over Powder."
