circa 1912, with 19in. sighted barrel, 43 1/2in. overall, the air chamber stamped with 'THE BSA AIR-RIFLE (IMPROVED MODEL D), together with 'THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS COMPANY LTD, SOLE MANUFACTURERS', walnut 'saw-grip' stock with chequered panels, the length of pull (14 1/4) stamped in the wood behind grip, 'piled-arms logo stamped in left hand side of butt, cast-steel trigger-guard and 'spade-style' under-lever, traces of original finish
