circa 1937, with 19 3/8in. sighted barrel, 45 1/4in. overall, the air chamber etched with 'THE BSA STANDARD AIR-RIFLE .22 BORE (No2), together with the address and various foreign patent numbers (etching discoloured and feint), walnut 'saw-grip' stock with impressed chequered panels and the letters 'BSA', the length of pull (14 1/4) stamped in the wood behind grip, folded steel trigger-guard and push-button release under-lever, the whole retaining a fair amount of original finish
