circa 1924, 27in. replacement nitro barrels (in 1976), the rib engraved 'NEW BARRELS BY B.E. CHAPLIN (GUNMAKERS) LTD. WINCHESTER', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, beaded border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed and reblued finish overall, 14 5/8in. stock (minor setting crack at top tang) including 1 5/8in. wooden extension, weight 5lb. 7oz.
