for 1930, 27in. Vickers steel nitro chopperlump barrels, rib engraved 'JOHN DICKSON & SON. 32 HANOVER STREET. EDINBURGH.' and gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, toplever gold-inlaid '2', treble-grip Dickson patent round-action incorporating patents 9399 and 10621 of 1887, use number 1710, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, profusely engraved with fine scrollwork, the underside gold-inlaid 'DICKSON'S PATENT', 14 3/8in. figured stock including buttplate, weight 6lb. 5oz., in a canvas case

Provenance: The gun is recorded as having been sold on 5th August 1930 as No.2 of a pair, made with 27in. barrels
