for 1953, 23 5/8in. nitro reproved barrels (in 2021, partially struck off, missing ejector kicker springs) with ornately matted stepped rib, folding open sights and ramped bead fore-sight, the breech end engraved 'CARL GOLUCH - LINZ a/D' and with quickly-detachable telescopic sight mount bases (with rings), three-piece fore-end with wooden side-fillets, 2 3/4in. shot chamber, bored approx. 1/2 choke, quadruple-grip action with oak leaf and acorn carved side bolsters, the toplever pierced with a squirrel with pine cone, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, gold-washed triggers, the front a set trigger, bold Germanic scroll engraving surrounding intricate game scenes carved in high relief, the left side with a setter and partridge, the right side with wildfowl alighting and signed 'OBILTSCHNIG', the underside with pigeon and capercaillie, old silver finish, 15in. pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, pistolgrip-cap, sling swivels and engraved steel skeletal buttplate, weight 7lb. 4oz.
