A CASED .30 (RIMFIRE) FOUR-BARRELLED DERRINGER PISTOL, MODEL 'SHARPS PATENT', serial no. 3826,
circa 1890, with blued Birmingham proved 3in. barrel-group, plain brass frame signed 'SHARP'S PATENT' in a circle around the hammer axis screw on the left hand side, the top half of the circle engraved as a garland, the left side of frame engraved in script 'MANTON & CO., CALCUTTA', centrally mounted blued hammer with rotary auto-indexing nose, smooth, possible replacement walnut grip and long bar push button opener, retaining a fair amount of original blued finish; together with an English market walnut case with burr veneered lid, the inner lid and tray compartmented and lined in blue baize and containing a lidded compartment and a cleaning rod compartment (lock escutcheon absent)
