circa 1877, with almost certainly shortened 5in. sighted barrel (signature erased), blind-fluted cylinder, plain frame with barrel slide release catch forwards of the trigger-guard, replacement smooth walnut flared grips, lanyard ring to base of butt, the whole cleaned of an older refinish with traces and shallow pitting remaining
