circa 1883, 36in. black powder only damascus barrel, the hexagonal breech end engraved 'W. KAVANAGH & SON. 12 DAME ST. DUBLIN.', some pitting, Jones patent rotary-underlever, carved percussion fence, rebounding back-action lock, border engraving, some surface patination overall, 14 1/8in. pistolgrip stock with steel pistolgrip-cap and including 7/8in. distressed rubber recoil pad, fore-end with crosspin release and horn finial (minor losses to left edge), weight 9lbs. 5oz.
