AN 8x60R (KROPATSCHEK) MODEL 'M1886' BOLT-ACTION REPEATING RIFLE BY STEYR, AUSTRIA, serial no. 0042,
circa 1886, with blued 32 1/2in. sighted barrel, rounded receiver with straight bolt handle, the action body stamped 'OE.F.G. STEYR 1886', a ribboned crown over 'L.I.' and 'M1886', walnut full-stock with concealed full-length magazine tube and complete with cleaning rod mounted in a channel on the left hand side of fore-end, much finish remaining, bolt mismatched number-wise, length 52in.
