for 1866, all numbers with a letter 'L' stamped above or below them indicating London retailed, with octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel signed by the maker and stripped of finish (markings refreshed), reblued open iron frame marked 'COLTS PATENT', plain cylinder with traces of roll engraved scene and London proofs, brass grip-straps and trigger guard, flared smooth walnut grips (small losses), possible replacement un-numbered rammer (other numbers matching)
