circa 1835, with 30 1/4in. horn-tipped cane shaft detaching via a brass collar to reveal a square section 5 3/4in. bayonet with carved mount, the side of bayonet marked 'PARIS * BREVETTE', the bayonet in turn mounted centrally to a scroll engraved 2 5/8in. barrel group fluted near the muzzles, simple fly-back mechanism to crush a fulminate pill released via an engraved trigger-bar, Belgian proofs, engraved platinum bands, further 'PARIS' signature and initials 'A.H.', cane hilt with gilded broad brass collar and flaring domed pommel, 35 1/4in. overall
