circa 1810, with Tower proved round 39in. iron barrel, block fore-sight, moulded band at breech, numerous inspector's stamps at breech, solid top-tang with rounded tip, India pattern lock with and earlier style swan-necked cock cut for a dog safe (not fitted) and crown over 'G.R.' stamp below pan, walnut handrail full-stock with brass furniture, the heel-plate numbered '1331' on the top-spur (matching the breech of barrel), rounded side-plate marked 'V644' also matching the barrel but also numbered '209', iron stirrup swivels and button ended under-barrel ramrod, together with an unmarked socket bayonet for same but earlier style
