circa 1939-40, with 9 3/4in. plain double-edged and double fullered straight blade (mild staining), carved and moulded bronze alloy cross-guard with fouled anchor device to centre and button scabbard release, wire-bound celluloid grip and de-nazified eagle pommel, complete with its gilded brass scabbard embossed with lightning motifs and oak-leave mounts for the twin suspension rings
