A SCARCE MKI LATE MODEL FAIRBURN-SYKES DAGGER,
circa 1942, with usual-form straight double-edged 6 3/4in. polished needle-point blade etched near guard 'WILKINSON SWORD CO LTD. LONDON' below crossed swords and 'THE F-S FIGHTING KNIFE' on the reverse, nickel boat-shaped cross-guard of 2in. length, chequered nickel hilt swelling at the centre and pommel and fixed with a bun nut, fine condition and complete with its period brown leather scabbard with blackened brass flat-nosed chape, and leather sleeve-tabs, also good condition bar the elastic retaining strap (perished)
