25in. nitro barrels with matt Churchill-rib, the tubes engraved 'G.E. LEWIS & SONS. 32-33 LOWER LOVEDAY STREET. BIRMINGHAM', proof dated for 1973, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. full and 3/4 choke, action with carved stylised leaf fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving with beaded borders, the underside with a floral bouquet, retaining virtually full original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock with ornate chequered recessed side panels, bolstered fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 8oz., in its canvas case
