converted from percussion circa 1875, with octagonal 5 3/4in. barrel, under-barrel rammer removed and refitted with a side mounted Belgian style plunge ejector, plain cylinder with rear-ratchet indexing, the frame converted to gate-loading and with mounted firing-pin, curved back-action banana lock with off-set side-hammer and chequered walnut grip with lanyard ring at heel, in a British military leather holster
