A .58 PERCUSSION RIFLED MUSKET, MODEL '1861', no visible serial number,
dated for 1863, with brushed bright 40in. barrel dated '1862' at tang, block and blade fore-sight, folding three-leaf rear-sight, plain bevel-edged lock with signature and date, walnut full-stock with iron furniture including three barrel bands and cup-ended ramrod
Other Notes: The Norwich Arsenal only set up 25,000 of these rifled muskets in comparison to the 265,129 set up by the Springfield Armory
