dated for 1857, with in the white 35in. octagonal to round barrel, dove-tails for front and rear-sights (removed, sights absent), solid top-tang, plain dated lock of flintlock form signed 'AMBERG' and marked with a crown, walnut three-quarter stock with iron furniture, spurred lower tang, double set triggers, two iron barrel-bands and nose-cap, the muzzle fitted with a bayonet bar, missing under-barrel ramrod
