A SCARCE COMPOSED PAIR OF 16-BORE FLINTLOCK IRON-BARRELLED BLUNDERBUSSES, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1820-30, with browned two-stage unsigned 20 1/2in. barrels shallow flaring towards the muzzles, one banded at the intersection, Birmingham proofs, engraved solid top-tangs, curving flat bevel-edged brushed bright locks with stepped tails, signed 'GALE' below the pans and with sparse acanthus engraving and borderlines, walnut full-stocks of similar profiles with brass furniture including heel-plates, trigger-guards and ramrod thimbles complete with brass tipped wooden ramrods
