circa 1815, with round swamped 12 1/2in. barrel, moulded band at the breech, release catch for the fullered triangular cross-section bayonet at the top-tang (weak) locking on a catch on muzzle when open, Birmingham proofs, flat lock with acanthus leaf detail engraving and stepped tail, ring-neck cock and semi rainproof pan, sliding safe behind the cock (broken), walnut full-stock chequered at the wrist, shotgun style butt, iron furniture and brass tipped wood ramrod
