A SCARCE .177 UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'STANDARD A-SERIES', serial no. A1241,
for 1936, with tapering round 17in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, factory fitted twin-leaf and notch rear-sight (from the 'Junior' model), tap loading breech, plain air-chamber (no etched details visible), walnut saw-handled butt-stock with pressed chequering to grip, ribbed heel (stock bolt cover absent), no provision for fore-end and push-button under-lever, much frosted original finish
Other Notes: Only 3939 of these air-rifles were produced between 1936 to end of production in 1939
