for 1895, with damascus 33 1/2in. browned barrel, the matted top-rib inlet with a yellow metal cartouche signed 'G.E. LEWIS, 32 & 33 LOWER LOVEDAY ST BIRMINGHAM' AND '9742', engraved bands to the breech-end, scroll engraved standing breech and rounded action with 'Jones' under-lever, border scroll and gamescene engraved back-action locks signed 'G.E. LEWIS', carved hammers, chequered walnut pistol-grip half-stock, iron furniture including heel-plate and pistol grip-cap, snap on chequered walnut fore-end
Other Notes: An excerpt from the record books of GE Lewis accompanies this lot stating it was made in 1895 for a Mr G. Roberts of Carnarvon, North Wales
