and dated for 1760, with round iron 9in. barrel, private proofs and moulded band at breech, flared top-tang, borderline engraved radiused lock signed 'GALTON 1760' at the pointed tail and marked with a crown 'G.R.' device forwards of the cock, feathered terminal to the frizzen-spring, walnut full-stock with ordnance stamps to right edge of grip, brass regulation style furniture and original wood ramrod (brass tip-plate absent)
