circa World War One, with finely watered 28 1/4in. slightly curved smith-made katana-style blade, strongly visible hamon, gilded habaki, gilded finely pierced and carved guard with full-length knucklebow, white rayskin hilt with chrysanthemum decoration to the ears of the gilded and stippled back-strap, black cotton sword knot and nickel-plated scabbard of European style (small dents)
