dated for 1894, with triple-stage 4 3/4in. barrel, wedge fore-sight, standing-notch rear-sight, cylinder with 'church-window' flutes, plain frame with side-safety, loading gate to right hand side, smooth walnut bag-shaped grips, lanyard ring at pommel, the back-strap stamped '1.M.II.38.142' (original issue markings struck out), strong amount of original finish remaining
